A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you are running some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters so as to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it is unbelievably easy to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will simply have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes yet another click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox without effort even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve set up with your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
