Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the only one planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to obtain john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can grab your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special rules on who can secure a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost.
